About Rushil

My name is Rushil Shah, and I am a rising freshman at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill attending as a full-ride Carolina Scholar. My passion for finance led me to found Brevard Finance for Youth Inc., where I currently serve as president. Over the years, I've immersed myself in the complexities of the financial world and developed an extensive personal finance curriculum. This journey has allowed me to reach over 1,500 students, imparting crucial financial literacy skills among youth across the United States

One of the proudest moments of my advocacy was presenting my first TEDx talk, where I shared my insights and experiences in financial education and another in Houston, Texas regarding Teen Entrepreneurship. I'm also the author of "Finance 101: Explained by a 16-Year-Old" and "The Entrepreneurial Journey to a Millionaire." Through these books, I aim to inspire young individuals to explore personal finance and entrepreneurship. As a researcher, I've embarked on a multi-disciplinary study that explores financial decision-making through a novel psychological and mathematical-based approach. This work has earned me the opportunity to present at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair three times. I've also shared my research at the Harvard Conference of Undergraduate Research, and I was recently honored as a Ying Scholar at the State Level for my research in the realm of social sciences.
